Problem

  • Complications and confusion sending money through Venmo afterward

  • Often hard to divide money if a group is big such as streaming services, or events

How might we

  • help users to manage money in a group with multiple people

  • help users to manage subscriptions

  • help users to find good services or events they can do as a large group

Solution

The product will allow individuals to create small group accounts, enabling seamless bill splitting and expense sharing for diverse activities. This enhances financial interactions and strengthens connections within social circles.

Service Overview - A Comprehensive Look

Use Case

  • Create their group

  • Able to manage own group

  • Different members based on the purpose

  • Creating & managing the card

Assumption

  • Users would expect to have one credit card per group.

  • Opposite side: Users would expect to keep the same group and create multiple credit cards.

  • What if someone wants to be excluded from a “purchase.”

Use Story

1. Traveling Abroad

A group of friends used our app to split expenses during their first group vacation. They found it easy to use and helpful in reducing the stress of splitting bills while enjoying their vacation.

2. Daily Expenses

A group of friends used our app to split expenses during their first group vacation. They found it easy to use and helpful in reducing the stress of splitting bills while enjoying their vacation.

Persona

Two personas were created based on two user stories: Jane, planning to travel abroad with her buddies during summer break, has to budget and start with hotel reservations, while Rebecca, a college student, has to split daily expenses - from simple toilet paper to rent.

Methodology

This product will be a service launch on an app. People will create and join groups by adding each other. Each group will offer two types of payment systems. Virtual wallet group members can add funds or link to each member's current payment method(card, PayPal, and bank account), so groups don't have to stress about money issues between relationships.
